Race tips
Pick someone your own ability or whose company you enjoy, there will be some fantastic experiences to share out there, although there may the odd occasion when you curse each other, your tires, your fragile chain and your lack of training
Start training early and get some decent rides under your belt before Christmas, it'll make the whole event more enjoyable
Find a seat/saddle that you find comfortable and that fits correctly
Get your bike set-up properly so you don't get niggly injuries
Don't stress over bike/suspension/tyre selection, just get out there on a properly fitted bike and enjoy it, as a general rule it will be a dry and firm track with the odd rocky section
Pack a good supply of snacks and post ride treats, you will be hungry
Bring some spare parts and be ready to fit them in the evenings after hammering your bike, there will be a mechanic travelling with the race but if you have a limited edition gold plated rear derailleur we might not be able to fix it
