Compare this race with others?
Hi There. Has anyone done any races in Canada or the US like this? I am a Canadian thinking of traveling to NZ to do this race. I would be really interested in knowing if anyone has done the 7 day BC BIKE RACE in British Columbia Canada? Has anyone also done Trans-Rockies?
I am doing the 2010 BC Bike race this June/July and would like to know how the Aline Epic compares.

Hey Marc,
I'm one of the organisers of the Alpine Epic. We based the event on the Trans-Rockies, which we raced in back in 2007. The Alpine Epic is set in the NZ high country, it is rough spectacular countryside, campsites are relaxed and it's a lot more low key than TR. In saying that the riding is just as tough, if not tougher, and the food is way better!
